REGISTRATION

How do I register for the Feis?

Registration can be done on FeisKeeper.

Can I register on the day?

No. Only dancers pre registered will be able to compete. Early registration is available until June 25th, late registration is available for an extra fee until July 2nd.

How do I get to the Feis registration & admissions area to pick up my dancer's packet on Feis Day?

Follow the signs leading into the church from the back door by the parking lot. There will be tables directly at the end of the hall and to the right once inside.­

VENUE

Where do we park?

As soon as you arrive at the church, you will see signs directing you to the back where there is a large parking lot. Parking is FREE.

Is there an admission fee?

There is a $5 admission fee for all observers ages 4 and up; however teachers and competing dancers are free.

Will there be vendors?

Yes! There will be a snack vendor selling food and drinks, and possibly other vendors to come.

Is food/drink available on Feis grounds?

Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. There are several resturants close by to stop at for lunch or to pick up. The Feis will have a 30 minute break for lunch. Please ask if you would like a recommendation.

You are allowed to bring your own food into the church. We simply ask that you clean up after yourselves.

What seating is available?

There will be lots of folding chairs available to spectators at the Feis. Please, as always, be mindful of the crowd. Please remember to not block walkways, or to take up chairs with possessions. Please keep chairs open for people to sit in.

Are there dressing rooms?

There are no changing rooms, but there are restrooms that may be used to change in.

Is there a practice room?

There will be a room available for dancers to practice in away from the main competition room. Please be mindful of other dancers practicing. Please keep your belongings close to the wall, and keep music to a minimum or use headphones.

Is there a Lost & Found?

The day of lost & found is located at the registration pick up table. Anything not claimed after the Feis ends will be held at the Emerald Dance Academy studio for 30 days. Please call 734-506-8128 for further assistance.

Is there first aid?

There will be First Aid available in the immediate Feis area.

What time does the Feis start?

Registration packet pickup begins at 9am. 


Competitions begin at 10am.

What time should I arrive?

Competitors: Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. The schedule will be posted after registration closes.

Volunteers: Please arrive by 9am

May I photograph or video my dancer?

Unfortunately, no. In order to protect the dancers, and the integrity of each school’s steps, and to comply with the WIDA rules regarding photography and videography, NO photography or videography of ANY KIND is permitted inside the Feis venue EXCEPT during awards. Electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, and video cameras may only be used outside of the competition space (ie. In the lobby, or outside of the building.) Anyone found photographing or videotaping inside the main competition hall will be escorted outside of the room and will not be permitted to return until the conclusion of the event.

What are the rules for the Inland Seas Feis?

As we are sanctioned by the World Irish Dance Association (WIDA) we follow their rules, which can be found here.

Where do dancers pick up awards?

This will be done in the immediate Feis area on stage.

When will the domestic arts be judged?

All items must be dropped off by 10am. Art competition will be judged around 11am.

Who is judging?

We may not say who is judging prior to the feis, but we are very excited to bring you another wonderful adjudicatior who is new to the Inland Seas Feis.
